I have to start by saying I never ever leave reviews, good or bad. That being said, I had to share my thoughts & experiences on Insight Eye Care. I started going to see Dr. Lisa Genovese a few years back. I have a genetic eye disease and with that comes severe dry eye. I was seeing a surgeon at the time and he said, I am not touching you until you see this doctor. Before that, I was seeing an eye doctor every 6 months and was always sent on my way being told to use more drops. My daily life was getting more difficult & it was getting harder to function. I called Dr. Genovese and explained my situation. Not only did she say come right into the office, but it was a Saturday morning! At that point in time I could barely hold my eyes open in any kind of light or outside air. My quality of life was suffering. Everything I did was difficult with my eyes tearing to the point that I couldn't hold them open. She took one look at me and said she wanted to put a medicated lens in my eyes to heal my corneas & that would make it tough to see for a couple days. I was apprehensive but, she not only was she the first doctor who wanted to try to help me but she took her time with me. She answered all my questions and she could not have been any more compassionate! She put me at total ease. When I went back a few days later and she took the lenses out, I could not believe the difference! My eyes hadn't felt that good in years. She has been working with me ever since! I have never met a doctor who cared so very much. She is always trying to learn and find new ways to help! She has been there for me ever since I walked into her office that very first day.

This is long but I'm not done! After she treated my eyes and managed to heal the corneas as much as possible she suggested I see her husband, Dr. Jason Maclaughlin. He specializes in specialty contact lenses. Well, they make a great team! Dr. Maclaughlin fitted me for sclera contact lenses that protect your eye from the outside elements and bathe your eyes in saline. What a game changer! He, like his wife, is always looking for ways to learn and find ways to help their patients. I have even received emails and phone calls when they find something that may work better for me. There are not too many doctors out there like that who care whole heartedly. Between Dr. Genovese treating my dry eyes and Dr. Maclaughlin maintaining them, they changed the quality of my life on a daily basis! Before I met them the simple everyday tasks that we take for granted were a struggle! Almost done. Not only are they exceptional doctors but they surround themselves with some of the best people out there! Their staff is incredibly amazing!! Everyone is extremely helpful and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs and that the doctors they work for lead by example! I cannot recommend Insight Eye Care enough.
